Pohl begins the program by giving the audience the history of how and why TEEN TRUTH was created and then screens the award winning student-shot film, TEEN TRUTH: BULLY & SCHOOL VIOLENCE. The film focuses on social issues that can lead to serious consequences while the presentation challenges the audience to think about how their reactions to these issues impact the lives of those around them. Using storytelling, humor, real world examples and audience participation, Pohl teaches the audience to identify the different forms of bullying, understand the power of their personal actions, and empower them to use their power to be a “up-stander” rather than a bystander in order to stop bullying from happening in their community.
