Catherine Liang, Miss California 2022, is a proud Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations Global Business with a Minor in Piano Music Performance. She now works as a private wealth analyst at a top financial institution.

During the pandemic, Catherine built a personal brand across social media platforms like Instagram, Youtube, Tik Tok, and even her own webpage focused on four core tenets: Fitness, Fashion, Food, & Finance. What began as an effort to document her personal recovery journey after being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease – a condition that left her with a non-functioning thyroid – became an empowering platform to inspire an audience of over 50,000 people.

Since then, she has served as a brand ambassador to brands like Allbirds, Evaro Italia, and Sarah Flint; been invited as a guest speaker on shows like ImagineTalks and The InfatuAsian Podcast speaking to topics related to AAPI empowerment; and has even served as The Adecco Group’s United States CEO for One Month in addressing solutions to the future of work for many Fortune 500 companies.

Throughout her year as Miss California, Catherin intends to leave a legacy of “Being a Champion of Courage”. As a local titleholder, Miss San Francisco, Catherine has appeared and served at over 50 functions including an inaugural 5k Heritage Run with the Asians Are Strong Network; addressed homelessness, addiction, and crime in San Francisco districts like the Tenderloin with non-profit organizations like Urban Alchemy, and is working to increase female analyst opportunities within her company, Goldman Sachs.
